Lakeside Real Estate brokers are your Tenmile Lake and Lakeside experts.
We have been listing and selling properties in the Lakeside and Tenmile Lake area for over 30 years.

The Little Town of Lakeside:

Lakeside lies three miles inland from the Pacific Ocean and twelve miles north of the city of North Bend.  Sheltered from onshore winds by the Oregon National Dunes, Lakeside enjoys fresh ocean air and average temperatures in the 60s to 70s in the summer and 50s in the winter with an average of 70 to 80 inches of rain per year.

For the past twenty years, Lakeside's population has remained consistently around 1,400 people, mostly retired and drawn to the town because it is quiet and convenient to Tenmile Lake, the dunes, and the ocean.  Within the two square block downtown area are the city offices, the county branch library, the senior center, a large grocery store, the post office, a car repair shop, a beauty parlor, a bank, a hardware store, three restaurants, and Lakeside Real Estate.  When other shopping is necessary, Lakesiders drive fifteen miles south on Hwy 101 to the twin cities of North Bend/Coos Bay to shop at Walmart, Kmart, BuyMart, Fred Meyers, and dozen of other stores.

Tenmile Lake:

Tenmile Lake is actually two lakes joined by a natural canal.  This lake system has forty-three miles of shoreline and 1,938 acres of water surface.  Tenmile Lake is fed by rain and slowly runs into the ocean via Tenmile Creek causing the lake to rise and fall by approx. ten feet between winter and summer with maximum and minimum depths ranging from 35 to 25 feet.

There are over 700 property owners around the lake from seventeen states and Canada.  Approx. 12% of them live in their homes year round.  Approx. 35% of the properties have road access.  With the exception of July 4th and Labor Day weekend, Tenmile Lake offers boaters solitude and quiet.

Tenmile Lake is a sporting paradise.  The Lake abounds with fish (bass, crappy, blue gill, trout, and catfish).  Oregon's largest bass-fishing tournament is held here every September.   The trees around the lake teem with birdlife including bald eagles, cormorants, osprey, and blue herons, and duck and geese inhabit the shoreline. The lake is a full recreational lake for sailing, water skiing and tubing, and kayaking.  In spite of all this, few Oregonians know about their state's third-largest lake.  Those who discover it are uniformly astounded.

We hope you will take a few minutes to look at the properties we have for sale in town and around the lake.  We also invite you to bookmark our site because our listings change frequently.
